This old military adage means any force that enters battle with a rigid, narrowly defined plan and is not prepared to adapt to changing circumstances is doomed to fail. Our company name is forged from the United States Marines’ own informal take on this motto - “Improvise, Adapt, Overcome.”

To some people, to improvise means to wing it. We believe differently. Whether in the context of a jazz musician, combat Marine, or an effective business leader, to improvise is to leverage deep and broad experience to react to new situations in creative, fluid ways.
